Continuing in the legendary tradition created and run by Mat Laibowitz and Elisha Wiesel from 2007- 2018, and reincarnated by Ben Hoffstein and Colin Teichholtz as "Compass" from 2019-2023, Midnight Madness returns to form as the world’s most spectacular puzzle hunt. It’s an interactive and immersive competition where teams of players prove their mettle in an epic display of wit and grit, racing to find and complete a series of maddeningly clever challenges and puzzles over the course of the game’s roughly 12-hour runtime.
Imagine the thrill of “The Amazing Race” converging with the genius of “The Davinci Code” while the streets of Manhattan unfold like a treasure map beneath your feet. Players see New York as never before, gaining exclusive access to some of the city’s most beloved landmarks, as well as its most carefully guarded secrets. To participate, teams fundraise or have an employer sponsor their entry fee. Every tax-free contribution goes to aid one of NYC’s most beloved charities: Good Shepherd Services.
Good Shepherd Services goes where children, youth, and families face the greatest challenges and provides resources that build on their inherent strengths to help them thrive. They operate 98 programs, which help over 30,000 youth and family members in struggling neighborhoods throughout New York City. All of their programs are united by a common goal—to create opportunities that help participants succeed at school, at home, and in their community.
